Snake Blocker

I See The World - Poem by Snake Blocker

I see the world turning love to sorrow,
And no one is caring for a refugee.
I see the tears of a wounded warrior,
And a woman being forced on her hands and knees.

How'd it come to be?
How'd it come to be?

I see the world trading sex for dollars.
And drugs running reckless with the kids we teach.
I see the scars on the children screaming.
And dadies getting drunk with the wives they beat.

How'd it come to be?
How'd it come to be?

I see the world killing unborn babies.
And woman shouting, 'choice' like a whore in need.
I see the pain in a boy that's bullied.
And pastors stand around...to afraid to preach.

How'd it come to be?
How'd it come to be?

I hear the lies of a world gone wild.
And no one gives a damn about truth and peace.
I see the hurt of a boy on welfare,
'Cause parents sit around and watch TV.

How'd it come to be?
How'd it come to be?

Because you stood by and did nothing!
