I Seen The Light Poem by Cookie Dempsey

There is a pool of blood.
I cut too deep.
I try to keep my eyes open.
Instead i close them.
I see a pool of blood.
Dive into it.
Keep swimming, deeper and deeper.
I hear people yelling my name.
Think of swimming back up.
Instead i let myself drown.
Into this pool of blood.
Keep going.
And going.
It goes black.
I see the light.
Know its the end of it.
I keep going.
Faster, Faster.
Almost there.
People scream my name.
Alarm clock screams.
I awaken.
Don't you with dreams could come true?
