I Shall Drag You From My Dreams Poem by Rik Bertrand

I Shall Drag You From My Dreams

I have dreams that play with my imagination
I am a Prince in a world of total frustration.
I am a Knight in shining armor,
I am the strong and hard working farmer.

In every dream that I have; I see you.
I see beauty unimaginable, this is very true.
You are my Princess my love and my light
You are my gift from God, my Angel Delight.

I don't know if I can endure much more,
Awake in this world without your decor.
I need your kisses; I need your loving touch,
I need your breathless whispers, and your lover's crutch.

I guess that there is only one thing that I can really do,
It's the only course of action that I can pursue.
I shall drag you from my dreams tonight
And bring you back with me, into the morning light.

I shall drag you from my dreams, this is a necessity,
Where love and compassion is truly a reality.
I shall drag you from my dreams, but only on your accord,
For losing your love during this move, I surely can't afford.

REB (MARCH 2012) because having you in my dreams isn't enough
