I Shed Tears Poem by Minerva Agriam

I Shed Tears

I shed tears for all the lonely people
Who counted days & nights till a beloved
Would renember to give them time to visit.
I shed tears for all the orphaned children
Roaming along busy streets of big cities.
I shed tears for the hurting people lying
On their beds agonizing over their ailments.
I shed tears for the wayward souls who
Lost themselves in the throngs of dreams.
I shed tears for the wounded spirits who can't
Bend to repent from the slavery of sinfulness.
I shed tears for the abused children whose
Innocence are defiled even by their loved ones.
I shed tears for the tiny lives abandoned
To wastefulness being the products of
Wayward feelings and doings of their parents.
I shed tears for the proud self assured souls
Who wont bend their will for others needs.
I shed tears for the greedy people who
Endeavor to accumulate wealth forgetting
The real essence of their lives.
I shed tears for the young ones who aimed
Too high and dreamed too far, blindfully
Running toward selfishness, stress
Depression and hopelessness.
I shed tears for the loose spirits who
Can't understand life to the fullest coz
They seek only happiness on this earth.
I shed tears for the poor wanting people
Who hated the rich cursing God for
Their unwanted nothingness.
I shed tears for the easy going individuals
Who made themselves vessels of vices
Living like leaves carried by the current
Of their passing pleasures.
I shed tears for the hapless trying hards
Who bluffed their ways to success loving
Honor and praises than the value of honesty.
I shed tears for the doubtful minds who
Always ask for reasons and factual
Explanations in everything and question
Even their own existence and the love
And power of the Almighty Creator.
I shed tears for the married couple who
Desired to have their dreamed child till
Their lonely days brought them to their graves.
I shed tears for the boastful mouths who
Would rather make stories than uphold
What is real and fair to humanity.
I shed tears for the wanting hearts who are
Easily lured by pretty things becoming
Mendicant for passing meaningless things.
I shed tears for the unborn fetuses
Murdered by their own parents for the
Sake of their carnal feelings.
I shed tears for the proud blurting tongues
Who have negative words for everyone
Sending others to recoil from their sight.
I shed tears for the naive individuals who
Liken to compliant lambs can't defend
Even themselves and their rights.
I shed tears for all the abused females
Being weak and pretty used engrossedly
By money making bodies.
I shed tears for all the lovestrucked hearts
Who saw me as a baby flaunting feminity,
But I teased and snobbed them anyway.
I shed tears for all the hearts who are
Crumbled with pains and sadness.
Then, I said to myself, ' by the extent I
Caused pains to other hearts, shall my
Own lonely heart will be hurted.
Then I shed my own tears!
