I Should Know When I Feel It Poem by Aidan Mackey

I Should Know When I Feel It

I may not find mine,
You may not find yours,
We find some of it.
If a rainbow was tangeable,
Everyone would find it.
Not everyone's is a pot of gold.
Not everyone's is something you hold.

Something real, yes,
Something you feel is my guess.
I should know when i feel it,
but in looking for it will it feel of any less worth?
Perhaps it should be stumbled upon,
And when i fall down
It will pick me up.
Perhaps when I am down,
It is in being picked back up.

Is there a steadiness to it?
Can it be stable?
Will anyone find it, or have they found it?
'In death everything will become clear',
Rewind grave to cradle.

I won't find it in a system,
Won't find it in a machine.
You may try find it in a crystal,
That's not up to me.

It is not in pride,
so don't look up to me.
In comfort you will come close,
But can you always feel that comfort?
Will it happen comfortably?

For the moment I'll just spark up
And make us a cuppa' tea.
