I Shouldn'T Be Sad Poem by Anniala Anonymous

I Shouldn'T Be Sad

Tsunamis, earthquakes, power plant meltdowns,
And I think that I'm sad?
Loved ones lost, homes destroyed,
And I think that I'm sad?
Friend's parents split apart,
And I think that I'm sad?
With all the things that go on in the world
my sadness is insignificant.
I have no right to be sad.
Instead I should cherish what I have,
cheer up those who need it most,
and cry for those other than myself,
because I have no right to be sad.
