I Slumber - Poem by Reginald Goodridge

Whispering to me
soft sounds of peace
closing my eyes over pillow
digging deeper into its crease

hmn, this is where warmth lives
a place, a time that are timeless and placeless
my imagination can
be unlocked, -run amok, -faceless

carry me, oh fine wind
marvelous dreams, pick me, pick ME!
keep those mares of night at bay
sing to me, hush me, love me, -exceedingly...
