I Stand With Friends Poem by Jim Agunga

I Stand With Friends

Rating: 3.5

from where i stand,

i can easily conduct a band

i easily wave my wand

hence my music a classic brand.

i thank this broadband,

though i spend most of my time in bushland,

as i enjoy my fatherland.

.. i stand with friends...

I can see the flower upon which my life grows,

blooming into a rose full of glows,

See the hope and courage in the strength of the petals.

that's me as i take the life from the pedals

As long as I am, I will be.

i will never let anything hold me,

for in my father he saw a he,

The flower will never wilt or die.

As my life grows, I shall become strong.

as i avoid all the wrong,

i will bring my friends along,

for in them that's where i belong,

for they make my life a good song.

I will rise with my petals high.

stem like my strong thigh,

the world becomes a great sigh.

My life as a flower will bloom and prosper as I grow.

I may not be the pick of the patch,

but I am just as beautiful as the rest.

... i stand with friends...

I will stand still, but not a lonely soul.

The tears will be far from my smile.

but my friends will never be far a mile.

for they keep my life in a kept file,

with them i feel so mobile

hence we make a good pile

with them my dimple deeper from a good smile...

real friends would be forever

If I even moved away

real friends will never truly leave

In each other's hearts we shall always stay...

You’re my best friend,

friends that everyone need,

friends like you indeed great friends,

I am glad that I have you as my friend...

...and i stand with friends...
