I Though You Loved Me - Poem by Sabrina Sixx

V1: You know everything about me.
I knew we just had to believe.
And I hoped that it would all work out...in the end.

But you left me hanging over the ledge,
Drove me into the arms of your friend.
And I hope you know you're slowly losing me.

B1: Oh you won't listen,
I keep on giving you
All my love
Then you just throw it all away.

CHORUS: I thought you loved me,
How foolish could I be?
You never loved me now did you, did you baby? !

He treats me perfectly.
One day soon you may see
Exactly what you missed out on, baby...that's me!

V2: He knows I always think about him.
And guess what! He doesn't have a girlfriend.
I wonder if he could be my...valentine.

He says he always thinks about me.
So sweet, like something out of a dream,
The kind I never wanna wake from.

B2: Cuz you didn't listen
Yet I kept on giving you
All my love
But now I know you don't deserve.

CHORUS: I thought you loved me,
How foolish could I be?
You never loved me now did you, did you baby? !

He treats me perfectly.
One day soon you may see
Exactly what you missed out on, baby...that's me!

V3: The angel on my right says 'Don't you leave him.'
The devil on my left says 'You don't need him.'
The angel on my right, well, he can fly away.
The devil on my left will live to see another day...

B3: You didn't listen
So now I'm not giving you
No more of my love.
Your goddamn games just went too far,
I really hope this leaves a scar.

CHORUS: I thought you loved me,
How foolish could I be?
You never loved me now did you, did you baby? !

He treats me perfectly.
One day soon you may see
Exactly what you missed out on, baby...that's me!
