I thought of you today my love
When I saw a little girl chasing butterflies
The sun trapped in her golden locks
As she tripped upon her shoe laces
I saw you in that little girl chasing butterflies

I thought of you today my love
When I saw a little dove
Falling from the sky
A string entangled in its wings
As it dropped upon the floor,
I picked the frightened little bird and set it flying free
I saw you in that little dove
Soaring in the sky---

I thought of you today my love
Walking with the waves
I saw you in my tear drops
Falling in the ocean
Without a ripple
Without a sound
