I Took For Granted Poem by Andrea Gomez

I Took For Granted

Rating: 5.0

That old house,
That old neighborhood,
Those old friends,
I left them,
I didn't want to
"Stay" they said

So many memories left behind
The sidewalk that hated me
That made me trip every single time!
The best boba shop,
The scary alley behind our house,
The crickets that killed my ears,
I miss it

I took it for granted
Everything
Wish I still had those things right next to me

I would hold on to it
And never let go
But they're gone now
It's too late
I can't go back anymore

"Make new memories"
"Change is good"
"It'll be fun, you'll see"

Oh, I wish.
