I Tread In Heaven (Sonnet #165) Poem by Tina Rizk

I Tread In Heaven (Sonnet #165)

You give me love as no one ever did,
I need not tell, nor ask, your love is free.
My pain and ache vanish, my darkness you lit,
The odds love defies, fights persistently.

With your hand in mine, I tread in heaven,
Your tenderness lifts me towards the stars.
One day we'll share our vows solemnly, Amen!
Then move beyond the horizons, far, far.

We'll teach the birds to chant our love hymns,
We'll spread in the wind the scent of our love.
On the sacred path of love, we're pilgrims,
Should we dwell here or in the realms above.

Should I ever lose my heart or soul,
By your side I'll surely find them, enthralled.
