I Tried, I Can'T, I Want... - Poem by Raj Thampi

I tried to laugh
I can't
tears left me long before
I tried to sigh
I can't
smiles left me long before
I tried to hide
I can't
everything is taken
I tried to cry
I can't
I lost it somewhere long before
I tried to survive
I can't
ditch is so deep
I tried to breath
I can't
my air is so thick and humid
I tried to write
I can't
my words are handicapped
I tried to sing
I can't
my voice is blocked
I want to die
I can't
death is afraid of me
I want I want I want…
