I understand your anger I understand your rage,
even all the bitterness and the war you wage,
you have to face the truth and open up your eyes,
maybe then you'd see the truth and finally realize.

I know that you believe that what you think is real,
but you need to know exactly how I feel.
I wonder how my friend can drag me thru the mud,
accusing me of every sin when all i have is love.

was I just the cancer and blight upon your life,
where imagined allegations become your trusty knife.
I need for you to hear me and hear me loud and clear,
I never crossed that line with you in that I have no fear.

I know I'll always love you thru this silent heart,
and know that i have missed you since we fell apart,
I know I won't forget you, no one ever could
but you will forget the man, you never understood.
