I Understand Poem by Max D. Hornbogen

I understand what your going through, could you see what is in my eyes.
The light was slowly fading, did not know what was really going on?

So everytime I get low just makes me want to cry...still can't understand what I did.
Did you even say goodbye, I was the one to let things go by.

Feelings were changed that day, the weather just turned to rain.
Felt like tears came down on me, still I feel I could have said something else.

Well I understand what I am going through, still I felt something was unsaid.
Did you even say goodbye that night, but I just let things go by.

The wind was blowing, felt like everything was about to change.
Was there something, that I left behind...still my life was changed on that fateful day
