I understand feelings as small and insignificant as humanly possible
And how it could ache in places you never knew you had inside you
it doesn't matter how many times you and your friends hang out,
How many haircuts you get,
how many jokes to tell with your friends
You still go to bed every night,
going over every detail,
and wonder what you did wrong or how you could have misunderstood.
And how the hell for that brief moment, you could think that you were that happy, you even convince yourself that she'll see the light and show up at your door
And after all that, however long that may be, you go somewhere new
And you'll meet people who will make you feel worthwhile again
