I Used To Love You
I used to be submissive
To your every wish and need
I used to like the way you tortured me
For leisure, out of your misery
To kill time and escape boredom's reigns
I thought you were friendly
Like the ecosystem, once upon a time
But now our love is stoned
I used to love you
But you're showing me how you careless
About me and about us
The flings are over
Now that you don't entertain
Your thoughts about winning me
Your metabolism to digest
All the love that I'd been saving for you
Is out of your system, must be fast
Because it hasn't been a half of a year
And you've already moved on
To someone new, leaving me behind
I used to love you
But I was just a game to you
And nothing more
I used to marvel at your beauty
Stunned by your every move
But this time, you left out the door
With grace, without any warning
I used to love your smell
And the spell you ensnared me in
But now I have to think about me
Your soul is icy, with an unforgiving stare
You don't love me as much as you pretend
It's easier for you to break me
But I don't need you anymore
I thought you were special
But that's when I used to have you
Now I see the truth
That you were never mine to keep
And I used to love you
But now I'm setting myself free
