I've Started Missing You; Diane Poem by DOMINIC PREMPEH

I've Started Missing You; Diane

Let me never dream of your going
And, Let me not dream of your goodbye
Let me not wake up with the sweats of your exit
And, Let me not wake up crying
Help me wipe the tears that will fill my eyes
When I one day realize you are gone

A student turned friend
Nursing my sick soul and tendering my wounded spirit
A follower turned companion, combined souls we’ve been
Eclipsing each other like the sun, earth and the moon
Anytime I stretch my ribs and open my lips
Your name comes with the first breathe

Let me never miss you
Because I’ve started to miss you
