I Walk And My Loneliness Deep Within Me Poem by Shalom Freedman

I Walk And My Loneliness Deep Within Me

Rating: 4.5

I walk and my loneliness deep within me
I cannot sing this morning
Though the air be green
And the trees be light
And brightness smiling all around-

I cannot sing
Cannot dream
Grief for another's loss is my grief
And I walk where I walk
As if each mourner
Is forever alone.
