I Wanna Be Me Poem by Gianna Dahlia

I Wanna Be Me

You say I have the natural beauty.
You say I should be a model.
You say I don't need anything on my face.
You say in perfect the way I am.

I like the piercings.
I like the makeup.
I like the style.
I like the way I am.

I don't want to show off my body.
I want to be different.
I may be all natural, but I like the difference.
I wear makeup,

Not to be 'prettier',
because it a hobby to do.
I like to wear black, bands tees, and wrist bands,
But you try throwing them out.

I love you all,
But don't tell me how to run my life.
I like the 'sin' I'm riskin'.
I like way you're asking.

I'm not gonna be who you want.
I'm gonna be who I want.
I'm not gonna lie about who I am.
I'm gonna stay me.
I'm not gonna be you.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
The poem tells the story already. Many people are trying to change how I look and how I act because I'm different.
