I Wanna Go Home Poem by Linda Hepner

I Wanna Go Home

I want to go home
I want to be home
But I am home
They say.

I don’t want to roam,
I want to come home,
I’m here at home
Astray.

I want to find me
I want to be me,
Not feeling free
Away

I’m little girl lost
I’m bigger girl lost
I’m self-double-crossed,
Dismay.

I’ll wait for me here,
I’ll maybe rehear
My name in my ear,
Replay.
