I Want To Be A Star - Poem by Fusayo Butko

On a starry, may night,
I want to be those shiny stars;
For people who have lost their way,
I would shine a guiding light,
To give them direction.

For people holding hands in love,
I would shine a gentle, kind light,
So they may find their happiness.

For people who have had to face a hard time
And have gotten wear, feel like crying,
I would shine a kind and loving light that
Would caress them in time of their need.
My message would be,
Tonight it is a dark night and stars maybe unseen,
But don't lose hope of life,
Be strong,
And there is a new tomorrow
Filled with many, shiny stars.
