I Want To Live Poem by Don Nguyen

I Want To Live

Yesterday I had seen the enormous angel across the blue sky
Signifying the end of my endurance, my labor, my pain
To reduce pain I need to temper everyone's passion
To make passion subdued I need to halt the writing of love poems
To halt love poems, it's easy, I just stop thinking of you
Just kidding, I have not thought of you for while
I just thought writing my love poem book
It's so boring, for suddenly to me poems are unappealing,
I wonder who would care enough to get hooked
Only all the silly girls I have encountered with
Seriously, after one thousand poems about love
I feel nothing more to be accomplished
I want to wrap everything up and move on
To worship my Lord to love beyond
All created things including women
I just want live like the angel in the sky
I just want to live like a bird which flies
Carefree, inhaling in the sunshine, the love
which permeates the air he breathes
I just want to live like that insect
Inconspicuous, insignificant
Stopping a while then fly into the unknown dark
I want to be a speck of dirt
Which registers in no one's radar, no one's sight
But it forever shines bright
and remains an angel in the eyes of God
