I Want To Travel The Whole World Wide Poem by grace lee

I Want To Travel The Whole World Wide

I saw the dusty bag on my side,
I wanna travel the whole world wide.
I looked up on the internet to find a map,
And I opened my closet to find my cap.

I don't care what vehicles I use,
A fire balloon I don't refuse.
Maybe a train is better,
Or a plane can make it easier.

I brought my bag and started my trip,
And found myself wearing nothing on my hip.
I ran back hastily to my house,
And I searched crazily for a blouse.

I looked myself in the mirror,
To make sure there is no more error.
Then I sighed in relief,
And I went on my trip with belief.

As I approached the train station,
I read carefully of the instruction.
I reached my hand in my pocket,
But find nothing except for a toy rocket.

I told myself to calm down,
To act normally but not like a clown.
But I am a clown actually,
I didn't even bring my money!

I have to walk all the way back,
And bring more things to my pack.
But soon I found it not so easy,
To walk back in the night, so freaky!

I stood in the middle of the city,
And I shook my head in such a pity.
I felt myself going to get hyper,
As I look through the entire skyscraper.

And then I heard a voice,
And I turned back because I don't have any choice.
The street was empty and the sky was dark,
I could hear nothing not even a dog bark.

I walked quietly alone on the street,
As I felt tires came down to my feet.
I stopped myself to rest,
And I talked to god for my request.

I do hope I could travel the whole world wide,
To be there so I could see every single sun glide.
But I'm too young I'm too small,
Maybe I'll start over when I grow tall.

I nodded my head to agree with the plan,
As I walked home with my new head blank.
