I Was Not Enough Poem by Joseph Kedmon

I Was Not Enough

I Was not Enough
I loved you with all I had,
A heart that never learned to let go.
I fought silent battles you never saw,
And stood beside you through every storm.

Though I wasn't perfect, my love was always true.
I gave you my best without holding back,
Yet someone else's little seemed enough for you.
Maybe I was never the one you wanted,
Only a memory you were meant to leave behind.

That truth hurt more than words could ever say.
Now I no longer ask why I wasn't enough.
I've learned my worth was never the problem.

I was enough for the right heart—just not yours.
Some love stories end with goodbye, not forever,
But the lessons they leave remain for a lifetime.
