I Was The Girl Poem by Jacob Andrew Jarman

I Was The Girl

I was the girl with the velvet hair
the perfect smile, without a care
i was the girl you always knew
i was the girl virgin and new
i was the freshness of brand new day
i was the laughter
now its gone away

intoxicated i stepped into the dark
he stood there screamed a remark
he pulled himself onto me
he pulled a knife against my throat
he whispered words to prevoke
the darkness now consuming me
