I Was There And Now I'M Not Poem by Sabrina Rosen

I was there and now I'm not,
You said I was your angel
I helped you through rough times,
I picked you up when you fell,
And you would look at me as if you were mad,
You would say to me 'Don't go, I don't want you to go'
Next thing I know I'm lying in a hospital and you didn't even know
I was already gone, I just wanted to let you know that I'm sorry that I wasn't there for you, now that I'm already gone.
