I Will Be Your Friend - Poem by Maxinne Sentina
When you need a friend
To comfort you in times of despair
Don’t worry – just turn around
And I’ll be there.
I’ll comfort you whenever you cry.
I’ll help you find your smile again.
I’ll guide your wings whenever you fly.
I will be your friend.
I’ll be your shelter in the rain.
I’ll help you find your rainbow again.
I’ll be your candle in the dark.
I’ll help you find the light inside your heart.
When you feel all alone
Still thinking nobody knows
Someone whispers into your ear
The kindest words you’ll ever hear:
“I will be your friend.”
