I Will Love You Poem by Victoria Davis

I Will Love You

I will love you until the March 31,1956 episode
of 'I Love Lucy' reaches the star V12,
in galaxy NGC4203
and echoes out into the blackness beyond.

I will love you as mountains fall
and seas rise, and storms rage;
Until the sky cracks into pieces
on the eve of the Earth's demise.

I will love you until my body is dust,
and stone, and dust again
borne on the sweet breath of
new creation as it passes.

I will love you until all warmth
has passed from the cosmos -
the last flicker of fire before
the universe sighs and gives in to eternity.
