I Wish Poem by Christine A Kysely

My two year old
Woke up this morning saying
I wish….I wish…I wish…

And then this is what she 'talked' about in baby talk…

The Stars
The Moon
Her 'Horsies'
And Apricorns (Unicorns)
And Butterflies
And Barbies
And about Being Happy
And about Going Potty

I wish that’s all I had to worry about.
I wish that these were all the things I had to think about.
That’s what I really wish.
