I wish I may, on this cool fall day
put away the shadows that
drove you away

Along a well worn beaten path
some things always die
some things never last

But some things will
break the quiet and the still
of the night

Love its told
when real and true
will take you past the flesh
Out of the black and through the blue

I always love so hard
always love so real
love is through the smiles
and
helps to dry the tears

You came to me
you never left
But love is not a game
nor a simple test

Love will give
seldom takes
Love is in your heart
asleep or awake

A simple love song sung in duo
simple as I am too
