I Wish You'D Understand Poem by Victoria Korobochka

I Wish You'D Understand

Rating: 4.0

You're trying to fit in,
Always wearing a mask,
But you're such a sweet person inside.
You say no one understands you,
So you don't give them a chance.
I never understood that,
But I think I know what you mean now.
You give people what they want,
You swallow down all the pain,
But you want no one to help.
Your suffer makes me weak,
Your suffer makes me cry,
But I'm not letting go of what I have,
I'm not telling you goodbye.
You're always so protective,
You would never hurt no one,
You love poetry as much as I do,
We have alot of things in common.
Sometimes I hurt you bad,
But I never meant no harm,
I just wish you'd understand,
I want to be as risk taking as you are.
Though, if you're suffering that hard,
I'll learn from my mistakes.
You say I understand you,
But when you talk
It looks like what you're saying
Is killing you inside.
I don't want to see you hurt,
Just as much as you protect me,
I'm always there when you need me,
The same thing you told me once.

The knight in shining armor and the princess. Some things just never change.
