I wished I were a better friend
I cannot change the past
I tried to put her first not me
I hoped that it would last
But I have failed my friend so much
I really am so sorry
I hope that you forgive me
I'll leave you need not worry
You'll find a better friend than me
Who'll treat you like a friend
And you'll be happy to confide
Your broken heart will mend
