I Wonder Whether You Love Me - Poem by Mir Irfan

Sometimes I wonder why I love thee,
Sometimes I ask myself whether you love me,
Whether you hate me or love me,
I’ll always love thee; my last breath will be even for you,
Wherever you go I’ll follow thee like thy shadow;
And if I failed to do so,
Then I’ll search you high and low;
I’ll always be ready to sacrifice my life for thee,
And will ask whether you love me;
I miss you and would never say good bye to thee,
And will always ask whether you love me;
I know if you don’t love me,
You don’t hate me even,

And you will also love me one day……
As I do it today,
As I do it today,
As I do it today.
