I Won't Complain Poem by Jay Crown

I Won't Complain

If at all they ever get into your head,
Poisoning your mind that we were never meant,
If you ever find yourself a better place,
A place of milk and honey, with no pain to face,
Just break my heart, I won't complain.

I know it's a race, and before they ruin it they'll never rest.
Babe, if your heart yearns for more, I promise I won't force your stay,
I know it won't be easy for me, but I'll find a way.
If the love you professed fades,
Just break my heart, I won't complain.

Maybe I'll miss your tender touch, and the warmth of your lips on mine,
Maybe I'll miss the midnight dance,
When our bodies danced to the rythm of our racing hearts.
Maybe I'll miss everything we did, but I promise I won't cry,
Just break my heart, I won't complain.
