Iceberg Poem by Gordon C. Pierce

Iceberg

Towering colossus of the seas,
Dazzling denizen of the deep,
A glittering mountain of frozen ice crystals,
A monolith of stark awesome beauty,
Moving imperceptibly in the frigid cobalt seas.
A stupendous scintillating spectacle
of blinding, dazzling white,
Its oblique angles reflecting
from a thousand faceted surfaces.
Its immense size is not revealed
So much lay hidden beneath the cold Arctic sea.
It moves silently and relentlessly
to an unknown destiny.
Who can comprehend
its total power and majesty.
