Icescape Poem by Marilyn Lott

Icescape

The day was icy clear
Like a crystal chandelier
So solid frozen it was
I felt a little fear

Broken limbs had fallen
From many of the trees
Felt even colder when
There came a little breeze

Over yonder was my horse, Nelly
She sure was a pitiful sight
Better bring her in soon
The barn should be just right

But it was mighty pretty
This sculpture nature formed
Before too long it would change
And things would start to warm

But in the meantime I think
I’ll just enjoy the view
The Icescape’s mighty pretty
I'll bet you'd think so too!
