Khwaahish kaa kyaa jataa hai?
Uskaa kyaa thaa, jo use khonaa hai?
Is Holi,
Tumhaaree hathelee par,
Hriday kee ushmaa ko siyaahee banaakar,
Shishu kee aankhon kee mohobaat rangne ko jee kartaa hai.
Ichaa uskaa kya hai?
Chai ki dukaan par,
Chotu kee aankhen kee tarah wah,
Phatee aur bebaak.
Translation:
What does it matter to a wish?
What did it have, that it has to loose?
This Holi,
On your palms,
With the ink of warmth of my beating heart,
I want to color them with the love in the eyes of an infant.
What does it matter to a wish?
On a tea stall,
Like the eyes of Chotu (She is) ,
Gouged and mute.
Explantion:
Holi is the festival of colors where lovers color them. Radha and Krishna.
Chotu is the common name for Kids who work as Child Labour in tea stalls, Chotu means a shorty, Kids are short as they are not men. They live an inhuman life.
