Idling Beings Poem by Black Consciousness Poetry BCP

Idling Beings

Me and You, we are idling beings waitingon time, while
we are fading to nothingness, amazing is how one can be
blind to Nubian light beams of eternity, that burns
light years after Attempts of being smother by the western
winds, Buka lapha.... before what is present, there the past knows
of the forbidden truth, older than the wind itself.

My forebear's eyes tell of answers, to novelty....... elusive
un-poised questions, questions hanging behind empty gaze
and timid lips, of a nation of idling beings waiting, to remember
who went back to their history and wore their face, who took what
is theirs, took Afrika out of their memory, took Kemet out
of Afrika, Bheka.... whose hands drips of the blood of your beloved.

Buka lapha.... me and you, we are a nation of idling beings, waiting to remember who murdered our memory, our language of self.
