If I... Poem by Rainhorse ...

If I...

Rating: 5.0

If I can stop one heart from breaking,
I shall not live in vain;
If I can ease one life the aching,
Or cool one pain,
Or help one fainting robin
Unto his nest again,
I shall not live in vain.

If I can make every child laugh,
I shall not feel ashamed;
If I can save the calf,
Or do good when I get famed,
Or all infant get claimed,
Unto their bed they get named,
I shall not live shamed.
