If I Poem by Mackenzie Rosales

If I

If I fall will you be the one to catch me
If I'm broken will you be the one who fixes me
If I'm sad will you be the one to make me smile
If I have no friends will you be mine
If I grow old will you be there to grow old with me
If I need you will you be there
If I die will you morn
If I’m all alone will you stay with me
If I have to leave will I be remembered.....

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
As a military child I have had to leave lots of friends behind. This type of life is very hard on a child; you make friends then are forced to leave. This poem was inspired by all the friends I have had to leave but by a special two, Taylor Elliott and Kassandra Sandoval. Two of the best friends I have and ever will have. This Poem is dedicated to another special friend Riley Philips, though you may thing so you will never be forgotten.
