If I am to vote tomorrow
I will not vote the devilish demons,
The democides or kleptomanis.
If I am to vote tomorrow
I will not vote the candidates
That would rule us to the valley
Of death or mouth of hell.
If I am to vote tomorrow
I will neither ballot
For gender nor agenda
For love nor language
For violence nor region
But either for religion or vision.
If I am to vote tomorrow
I will neither ballot
For tribe nor treasure
For leisure nor pleasure
For indecision nor collision
But either for facilitation or provision.
If I am to vote tomorrow
I will use my pollical missile
To cast pacifism in and racism out.
If I am to vote tomorrow
I will cast my vote to an altruism
Not egoism—it's not a wasted vote.
If I am to vote tomorrow
I will vote in favour of my religion
Not in favour of vengeance.
If I am to vote tomorrow
I will vote magnanimity not avarice
As I won't be impressed by the media
Since they prefer income to improvement.
If I am to vote tomorrow
I will vote a preacher not creatures
As I won't be impressed by the myth
Since truth has no answer.
If I am to vote tomorrow
I will cast my vote to the cream of the crop
Malam Ibrahim Khalil.
Perhaps, before I cast my vote tomorrow
I ought to exhaust tonight's moonlight
To seek peace, protection and choice.
May our prayers be answered
May our smiles shine again
May our pain pass away.
