If I could paint a picture
that resembles you
It would be black and purple
oh, and green too
It would be the prettiest
painting on earth
with beauty and patience
and sweetness that curves
around the edges
It would tell a tale
about a girl
who lives each day
each day on the edge
but not close to danger
And even though
trouble stalks you
I'll be there
helping you
But first the picture
you shall see
and if you want to
take a look at thee
Look at yourself
study you hard
And then the prettiest picture
will show its heart
