If I Forget, Help Me To Remember! - Poem by Lekakwe William Moagi

Kana ke mo-Afrika, montsho ka tshobotsi
Ke gola ka morogo, dinawa jaaka ma-Afrika mangwe
Tshokolo ke ya e itse, bo dikobo dikhutshwane
Life used to be like morogo wa motshatsha but still
I made it in life because of tirisano mmogo

I remember one day a matter of life and death you helped me
The day you shared bread with me
You asked your parents for me that I could come
Harvest lerotho in your yard for my Christmas day
And because of the countless smiles we exchanged
I prove you have always been there for me

Gompieno ke motho le nna all becouse of that you gave and
If I forget ko ke tswang teng
Please help me to remember
