If I Only Knew Poem by Alfred Ramos

If I Only Knew

Outside the rain is pounding
And the wind is sounding
Sounding like hell
My head is filled with haunting fears
They over flow onto the floor
They knock over cans of too many beers
And quietly seep out the door
If I only knew
That leaving you would create this mess
If I only knew
There is nothing I can do, to whom do I confess
Outside the thunder is pounding
The dark sky is rumbling, sounding
Sounding like hell
My heart is breaking into a million pieces
Spilling onto the floor
Filling all the cracks and creases
And quietly slipping out the door
If I only knew
What is known to few
The terror of it all
If I only knew
Who was who
And that I would take the fall
