If I, Would You Poem by lamar averett

If I, Would You

Rating: 5.0

If I serenaded you with song, would you
ride the vibe of my love and not think me
a fool
If I sent you exotic flower's, would you
accept them as a token of your beauty
and not become infatuated with self
If I wrote you poetry, would you
understand that I'm metaphorically placing
my heart in your hand's to do as you will
and not take advantage of me
If I told you that I see my future in your eye's, would you
honor me by giving birth to my seed as a testimony of
our love for generation's & generation's to come
If I promised to be all you ever needed in a man
loving you exclusively, would you
give me all that you are unconditionally
If I loved you, would you love me too.......
