If Love is a Disease, I Don't Want the Cure

In life,
There are 3 people
Who will love you,
Unconditionally:
The person with which you grew up...
The person you will marry at the altar...
And the person with whom you will grow old...
For some lucky people, these 3 types of love
Are mechanically all in 1 person;
If you marry your highschool sweetheart
And do not get divorced,
Or they are your parents with nuturing love
In the beginning of your life,
Then a newfound lover, if you get married.
But then a new lover or companion
Later on in life, with a most stable
Satisfying love because you finally
Know how you want to be appreciated...
Each type is different
Each has its perspectives
Each is all-encompassing
Filled with guardianship,
Filled with lust,
And satisfaction,
Right down to the very end of one's life...
Then the ethereal kind of love we receive,
From beyond the grave is divine in presence...
So, I say this with an open heart and soulful mind,
If Love is a Disease, I Don't Want the Cure...
Because this way in my life, I can experience a Love
That is ultimately pure...

O.A.
