If Only Poem by Jared Marsh

If Only

If the stars could sing sweetly or the oceans breath deeply maybe you would believe this song.
If the desert winds blew me straight home to you nothing could ever be wrong.

If only If only.

If the summer skies told you that there is nothing we can't go through, maybe you'd stay in my arms.
If the little birds spoke of love and joy and hope, would you come and stay with me and my heart?

If only If only.

I'd cry my eyes dry for you.
I'd lay down and die for you.
I'd give you my heart on a string.
I'd cry my eyes dry or take the moon from the sky
I'd cry if that brought you to me.

If only If only.

Love is the sweetness on the tip of your tongue,
or the whisper of your breath when the night is done.
Love is what I'd give you no matter the time,
if only you'd say you'll be mine.

If only If only.

I'd cry my eyes dry for you.
I'd lay down and die for you.
I'd give you my heart on a string.
I'd cry my eyes dry or take the moon from the sky
I'd cry if that brought you to me.
