If Only - Poem by Susan Roth-Weitzel

If only I had a wish to make
I'd make it come true for the children's sake
A world for them with more give than take
If only I had a wish to make

If only I had a wish to make
Love and happiness would be all children s fate
For some young hearts are breaking and I pray
it's not too late
If only I had a wish to make

If only I had a wish to make
The world would be free from violence
and harm
All children would be safe in their
mother's arms
If only I had a wish to make

If only I had a wish to make
I'd ask God to send his angels from above
So every child would know brotherly love
If only I had a wish to make
If only
