If only they could speak for themselves
to give the testimony of the horrific deeds
they have seen, maybe then we would
see how much we have sinned.
if only eyes could speak for themselves
yet they chose to weep
and hope you find comfort in tears.
if only they could speak
we have ears but they never hear
We have hearts but they never feel
We have hands but they never comfort
If only they could speak
they too would tell a tale.
